Throne Of Glass (Throne of Glass Series # 1) by Sarah J Maas

Title: Throne Of Glass
Author: Sarah J. Mass
Publisher: Bloomsbury
Pages: 400+
I give it 4 out of 5 stars.
Princes are not supposed to be handsome! They’re sniveling, stupid, repulsive creatures! This one….this…How unfair of him to be royal and beautiful.
Synopsis:
After serving out a year of hard labor in the salt mines of Endovier for her crimes, 18-year-old assassin Celaena Sardothien is dragged before the Crown Prince. Prince Dorian offers her her freedom on one condition: she must act as his champion in a competition to find a new royal assassin.
Her opponents are men-thieves and assassins and warriors from across the empire, each sponsored by a member of the king’s council. If she beats her opponents in a series of eliminations, she’ll serve the kingdom for four years and then be granted her freedom. Celaena finds her training sessions with the captain of the guard, Westfall, challenging and exhilarating. But she’s bored stiff by court life. Things get a little more interesting when the prince starts to show interest in her … but it’s the gruff Captain Westfall who seems to understand her best.
Then one of the other contestants turns up dead … quickly followed by another. Can Celaena figure out who the killer is before she becomes a victim? As the young assassin investigates, her search leads her to discover a greater destiny than she could possibly have imagined.
Small white flowers lay at the foot of her cot, and many infant-sized footprints led in and out of her tent.
My Thoughts:
This book review is part of my TBR for September.
I love everything about Sarah J. Maas. She writes with so much imagination and love for her Characters.(Celaena Sardothien, Chaol Westfall, Prince Dorian Havilliard, Princess Nehemia Ytger, Kaltain Rompier)
Very fast paced novel. Lots of mystery, love, friendship, and hate between the characters. There is even a creature that eats human body parts……. gross…….
I can’t say at this time in the series who is my favorite character would be . But it just might have to be Chaol. I will have to pick up the next book to see if that will change.
I was googling this book and came across a web page called Throne of Glass Wiki. http://throneofglass.wikia.com/wiki/Throne_of_Glass_Wiki. If you haven’t checked it out please do so. It has lots of information about the book itself and it’s characters.
“Guards are of no use in a library”. Oh, how wrong he was! Libraries were full of ideas-perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons.
I haven’t read The Assassin’s Blade yet , so, I think so I think I will go and pick up that book next before I start the next book ,Crown Of Midnight.

Who is your favorite character?
Wait………………. WHAT……………………………..
